Coal Harbour Condos for Sale
Coal Harbour is a neighbourhood in Downtown, Vancouver, British Columbia. It is located at the north end of downtown Vancouver and is bounded by Burrard Inlet to the north, Stanley Park to the west, English Bay to the south and False Creek to the east. Coal Harbour has multiple high-rise buildings on its waterfront with views of North Shore Mountains and Downtown Vancouver.
The name "Coal Harbour" comes from its historic use as a coal export terminal. It was originally a rail yard for Canadian National Railways with a large coal storage facility. The area was redeveloped into a mixed-use neighbourhood during the 1980s and 1990s. Today, Coal Harbour's residents include many affluent professionals who work in downtown Vancouver.
The neighbourhood is served by three SkyTrain stations on the Canada Line: Waterfront Station in downtown Vancouver, Granville Station in central Vancouver, and Olympic Village Station in central East Van. Coal Harbour has some of the best restaurants in town like Cioppino’s Restaurant & Bar which offers Italian cuisine for lunch or dinner.
Coal harbour is just steps away from downtown’s high-end shopping district, the best restaurants, and several cafes. Enjoy biking along the sea wall or a leisure walk around Stanley Park. The most spectacular views in all of Vancouver can be found in Coal Harbor, from the fascinating scenery of the water to the magnificent mountain views.
